Qyvea diagnoses and repairs faults, keeps the system healthy, and coordinates directly with estate managers and HOAs.
Multi-camera. Multi-gate. HOA-friendly.
Perimeter Cameras · Gate Houses · Shared NVR · Written Reports
Estate systems cover larger areas with more cameras than home installations. That means more points of failure, more environmental exposure, and more variables — a shared NVR, a broader network, multiple gate houses each with their own monitor or control point, and often several years of gradual additions that weren't documented.
Common drivers for scheduling an estate CCTV service:
If the current system was installed by another provider — common for estates — we assess it on its own merits and tell you plainly what we can do.
The faults we're most often called to handle in gated communities.
Guard monitor not showing feed even though cameras are live — often a network, splitter or power issue at the gate house, not a camera fault.
Perimeter cameras losing signal at night or in rain — usually a power, PoE or connector issue exposed to weather.
Estate NVRs fill up fast — footage overwriting after a few days means the storage needs review.
Dust, condensation, cobwebs or a misaligned camera — common on older estate perimeter cameras.
Cameras that used to show night footage going black or grey — usually IR LEDs or an ageing camera.
Previous installer's credentials, forgotten passwords, or no documentation — common when committees change.
Scoped to your specific estate — this is the range of what a technician may inspect.
Depending on the estate's situation.
For problems affecting specific cameras or gate houses right now.
For estates that want a scheduled inspection before problems get noticed.
For committees and management that want a standing arrangement with priority support.
Most estates in Kenya have CCTV installed by a company that may no longer be involved. Committee members change. Contractors are replaced. Documentation gets lost. None of that means the system is beyond help.
We assess the existing cameras, NVR, cabling and configuration, then tell you plainly whether the system can be:
We can't promise every third-party system is repairable sight unseen — some equipment is genuinely past its useful life — but we assess before we conclude that.
What's happening and what the estate wants reviewed.
Walk the perimeter, gates and gate houses.
Cameras, cabling, power, NVR, network.
Written findings — repair, upgrade or replace.
Approved work carried out, then tested.
Report + documentation for the committee file.
Restore the existing cameras or NVR where that's practical and cost-effective — most faults fall into this category.
Replace the specific cameras, NVR or storage that have failed or are outdated, keeping usable cabling and mounts.
Recommended where equipment is obsolete, damaged beyond practical repair, or genuinely inadequate for the estate's size.
For gated communities and estates with multiple gate houses, we usually recommend a service every 6 months, with an additional visual check after heavy weather. Systems with many perimeter cameras, coastal salt air or dusty conditions benefit from quarterly checks.
Yes. Most estates in Kenya were installed by a previous contractor. We assess the existing cameras, NVR, cabling and configuration, then recommend repair, upgrade or replacement based on what we find.
Yes. We work directly with estate managers, HOAs and body corporates, provide written service reports for their records, and schedule visits around committee preferences.
Yes — gate-house monitor issues are usually caused by network, splitter, or power problems rather than camera failure. Diagnosis starts at the monitor and works back to the camera.
Yes. Scheduled maintenance arrangements are common for estates — scoped to the number of cameras, the number of gate houses, and the agreed response arrangement. Contact us to discuss.
In most cases yes, if the NVR and network can support the additional cameras and storage. We assess headroom before quoting.
Tell us about your estate and the issue. We'll help you figure out the right next step — repair, upgrade or a maintenance arrangement.
