Our Story

Started by an engineer.
Run by engineers.

Qyvea was founded in Nairobi on 15 March 2022 by Elias Ngigi, a network engineer with more than ten years in security and IoT systems. The company is built on a simple idea: a security system is only as good as the way it is designed, installed and looked after, so we do all three properly.

Today we cover security, IT and power under one company. One team plans the cameras, the network they run on and the backup power that keeps them recording through a blackout, so you deal with one contractor who is accountable for the whole system.

Our offices are in Westlands, Nairobi, but clients do not collect goods from us: Qyvea is a delivery-based supplier with no walk-in pickup. Every order is delivered to your home, office or site, in Nairobi and across Kenya, and goods are dispatched once your payment is confirmed. This keeps our prices lower and means you never have to travel to buy. For larger projects, our technicians can also install what we supply.
