Bays only earn when mechanics are in them. A biometric attendance system (also called a fingerprint attendance machine or time attendance system) records who arrived, and when, with their own finger or face. For garages and workshops, that means start times recorded, and casual workers included.

07Frequently asked questions
Can casual mechanics be added?
Yes. Enrol them for the days they work.
Can it handle oily hands?
Face recognition or cards work when fingerprints are hard to read.
Is it tough enough for a workshop?
Choose a rugged model and place it away from dust and splashes.
What is a time attendance system?
It is a terminal at the door plus software. Staff scan a finger, face or card, the terminal records who arrived and when, and the software totals hours, lateness and overtime for payroll.
Can a terminal stop buddy punching?
Yes. A finger or face belongs to one person, so nobody can clock in for a friend the way they can with a card, a PIN or a paper register.
How long does installation take?
One terminal is usually a few hours: mount, power, network, enrol staff and test. Larger sites take longer.
Do you deliver outside Nairobi?
Yes. We deliver countrywide and survey Nairobi and the surrounding counties for free.
