Shelves, tills and stockrooms all need staff on time. A biometric attendance system (also called a fingerprint attendance machine or time attendance system) records who arrived, and when, with their own finger or face. For supermarkets, that means tills and shelves staffed from the first minute, and casual and permanent staff on one record.
Key takeaways

07Frequently asked questions
Can it cover several branches?
Yes. Each branch has its own terminal and all report to one system.
Does it help with theft control?
It records who was on site and when, which helps when something goes missing. It does not replace cameras or procedures.
How are casual staff handled?
They enrol quickly and appear in the same reports.
How long does installation take?
One terminal is usually a few hours: mount, power, network, enrol staff and test. Larger sites take longer.
Do you deliver outside Nairobi?
Yes. We deliver countrywide and survey Nairobi and the surrounding counties for free.
What is a time attendance system?
It is a terminal at the door plus software. Staff scan a finger, face or card, the terminal records who arrived and when, and the software totals hours, lateness and overtime for payroll.
Can a terminal stop buddy punching?
Yes. A finger or face belongs to one person, so nobody can clock in for a friend the way they can with a card, a PIN or a paper register.
