Most schools record arrival and departure for all staff, including teachers on duty days. The head decides the rule.
Can it track teachers on duty?
Yes. Teachers punch in at their duty post or the staffroom, and the report shows who was where.
Does it work during school holidays?
Yes. It simply records nothing when nobody is on duty.
What is a time attendance system?
It is a terminal at the door plus software. Staff scan a finger, face or card, the terminal records who arrived and when, and the software totals hours, lateness and overtime for payroll.
Can a terminal stop buddy punching?
Yes. A finger or face belongs to one person, so nobody can clock in for a friend the way they can with a card, a PIN or a paper register.
How long does installation take?
One terminal is usually a few hours: mount, power, network, enrol staff and test. Larger sites take longer.
