Qyvea Limited installs factory attendance systems across Kenya — for food processing, plastics, packaging, textiles, metal fabrication, assembly and milling plants. Factory attendance is different from office attendance: most of the workforce is on shift rotation, overtime is the norm rather than the exception, and payroll has to reconcile two or three shift populations against the same rules.
Day, evening and night shifts rotating weekly or fortnightly. Each worker's shift pattern applied automatically.
A shift that crosses midnight. Attendance is calculated against the correct shift window, not the calendar day.
Two-shift, 12-hour patterns for continuous production. Overtime begins after the configured shift ends.
Two working blocks within a day, with the gap treated as unpaid or paid as configured.
Saturday, Sunday and public holiday shifts with their own overtime rates.
Workers whose rest days change each week. The system knows who is off and who is on, per day.
Rates are configured during installation to match the factory's CBA (collective bargaining agreement) or its internal HR policy.
We meet HR and payroll, review shift patterns, overtime rules and workforce size.
Terminal count and locations, software, shift rules and integration quoted.
Terminals mounted at gates. Workers enrolled by department over a few days.
HR and payroll teams trained on running reports and correcting exceptions.
Yes. Shift patterns (day, evening, night, rotating) are configured per employee or per department. The system applies the correct shift window to each worker's clock records, so overtime is calculated against the right shift.
Overtime rules are configured during setup — normal, 1.5x, 2x, weekday, weekend and public holiday rates. The system applies the rules automatically to clock records so payroll does not recalculate by hand.
Yes. Factories with separate shift gates, contractor gates and staff gates can have terminals at each one, all feeding the same attendance system.
Contractors and casual workers can be enrolled with an expiry date. Their credentials work for the period of their contract and stop automatically when it ends. Every entry is still logged for audit.
Cost depends on workforce size, number of gate terminals, whether fingerprint or facial recognition is used, and whether integration with existing payroll is required. Qyvea provides a free site survey and itemised quote.
Free meeting with HR and payroll, itemised quote, shift patterns modelled before you commit.
