01What the video shows
A ZKTeco fingerprint time attendance terminal mounted on a wall. The employee places a finger on the lit sensor, the terminal matches it against the enrolled fingerprints and the screen confirms a Check-In, stamped with the date and time.
The same terminal records check-out at the end of the shift. Every punch is stored on the device with the employee's ID, so there's no paper register and no one can clock in for a colleague.
02From the terminal to payroll
The terminal is only the first step. Punches are pulled into the attendance software, over the network or by USB, where Qyvea sets up the rules that matter for your business: shift patterns, grace periods, lateness, overtime rates, leave and public holidays.
The result is a report that shows hours worked, overtime and absences per employee, exported for payroll. See shifts, overtime and attendance reports for how that works.
03Installing an attendance terminal properly
Good results come from the installation as much as the device: mounting height and position so every finger is read cleanly, a reliable power supply (ideally with backup), a network connection for automatic downloads, and careful enrolment of every employee, usually two fingers each.

04Frequently asked questions
Can the terminal work without internet?
Yes. The terminal stores punches itself. A network connection lets the software download records automatically, but it isn't needed for employees to clock in.
What if an employee's fingerprint isn't recognised?
Re-enrolling, enrolling a second finger or using a PIN or card usually solves it. See biometric not recognizing fingerprints.
Can attendance reports go straight into payroll?
Reports are exported as Excel or CSV with hours, overtime and absences, ready to import into most payroll systems.
