Solar Street Light Installation Cost in Kenya: What to Budget

By Qyvea Limited · Updated 20 October 2026 · 2 min read

Buying the light is only half the budget. The installation cost of a solar street light in Kenya depends on the pole, the fixing and the labour. Here is how to plan it.

What installation includes

Fixing the light to its pole or wall, setting the angle so the panel faces open sun, setting the sensor and remote, and testing it at dusk. If you are using our pole, we include it with the light. A tall custom pole, concrete base or digging adds cost.

What affects the price

Ready to light up your place?

Motion-sensor solar lights with the pole included. No wiring, no power bill. Pick your size:

Why we quote after seeing the site

Every site is different. A gate on a concrete wall is a quick job. A pole at the end of a long driveway needs digging and a base. We prefer to quote honestly after you send us a photo or after a short site survey, rather than give a number that changes later.

Do it yourself or hire

If you are handy and the light mounts on an existing wall, you can do it yourself. For poles, concrete bases and anything high, hire someone who has done it. A badly mounted light can lean, shade its own panel or fall.

In short: Plan for the light, the pole and the labour. Get the labour quoted once the site is known.

Frequently asked questions

Does Qyvea install?

Yes. We install on poles and walls and can do a site survey first. Tell us the site and we will quote.

Is installation included in the light price?

No. The pole and bracket come with each light. Installation labour and civil works are quoted separately.

Need help choosing?

Tell us where you want the light and we will recommend the right size, even if it means a cheaper one.
