1000W Solar Light Price in Kenya: What You Get for KES 8,000

By Qyvea Limited · Updated 20 October 2026 · 2 min read

The 1000W is our entry-level solar street light at KES 8,000. It is the one most homeowners and small shop owners start with. Here is exactly what the money buys and where it works best.

What is in the box

The 1000W comes with the light and its built-in solar panel, a mounting pole and bracket, and a remote control with batteries. You do not need an electrician or a cable to your meter.

It has a radar motion sensor, so it glows at a low level through the night and goes to full brightness when someone comes near.

Where the 1000W works best

It is a good fit for a gate, a backyard, a side passage, a shop front, a kiosk or a small compound. For a whole compound with a long wall or a long driveway you may want the 2000W instead, or two 1000W lights at different corners.

Many owners buy two or three 1000W lights to cover different corners for less than a single large light.

Ready to light up your place?

Motion-sensor solar lights with the pole included. No wiring, no power bill. Pick your size:

What the 1000W will not do

It is not meant to light a school playground or a large parking lot. The wattage number is a rating of the model, not electricity used from your home, and a bigger rating means a wider and brighter light. If your area is large, step up to the 2000W (KES 12,000) or 3000W (KES 17,000).

It also needs sunshine. Fix it where its panel gets open sun for most of the day and keep the panel clean.

How to order

Add it to your cart on the 1000W page or message us on WhatsApp with your location. We confirm stock, delivery and, if you want, installation. Delivery is free across Kenya on home orders.

In short: The 1000W at KES 8,000 is the best starting point for a gate, yard or shop front.
