All-in-One Solar Street Lights Explained (and Why Kenyans Choose Them)

By Qyvea Limited · Updated 20 October 2026 · 2 min read

You will see "all-in-one" on many solar lights. It means the panel, battery, controller and lamp are in a single unit that you mount on a pole. For most homes and small projects in Kenya, that is the easiest option.

What is in the unit

The solar panel, the lithium or other battery, the controller, the LED array and often the motion sensor are all built into one body. You fix it to a pole or wall and it works.

Why it suits Kenya

There are no cables between a panel and a battery box, which means fewer joins to fail and nothing for thieves to cut. It is quick to install and easy to move.

Ready to light up your place?

Motion-sensor solar lights with the pole included. No wiring, no power bill. Pick your size:

Limits

The panel size is limited by the light body, so very large systems or places with heavy shade may need a split system. For normal compounds, roads and yards, all-in-one is enough.

Our range

Our 1000W, 2000W and 3000W solar street lights are all-in-one, with pole and bracket included.

In short: All-in-one means one unit, no cables between parts, fast to install.

Frequently asked questions

Can I replace the battery in an all-in-one light?

It depends on the model. Ask the seller before you buy.

Is all-in-one less powerful?
