Why Access Control Needs Regular Servicing

Access control hardware takes constant physical use — doors opening dozens or hundreds of times a day, fingerprint sensors touched repeatedly, exit buttons pressed continuously. That wear adds up, and a reader or lock that's slowly degrading often isn't noticed until it fails completely.

Access control servicing typically covers:

Reader and biometric sensor testing
Door lock and strike function checks
Exit button and controller testing
Enrollment data and software sync review
Admin access verification
Written service reports

If your access control system was installed by another provider, we assess it on its own merits and tell you plainly what we can do.

Discuss a Contract

We Didn't Install It? That's Fine.

Properties change hands, contractors move on, and the original installer of your access control system may no longer be around. None of that means the system is beyond help.

We assess the existing equipment and configuration, then tell you plainly whether it can be:

Repaired as-is
Reconfigured
Upgraded in part
Partially replaced
Fully replaced, if that's genuinely the sensible option

We can't promise every third-party system is repairable sight unseen — some equipment is genuinely past its useful life — but we assess before we conclude that.

FAQ

Common questions about access control maintenance

How often should access control systems be serviced in a school?

Most school sites benefit from servicing every 6 to 12 months, depending on usage and exposure to the elements.

Can you service systems installed by another company?

In most cases yes — we assess the equipment and its condition first, then confirm what can be serviced or repaired.

Do you offer maintenance contracts for schools & colleges?

Yes. Maintenance contracts are scoped to the number of devices, sites, and required response times — contact us to discuss what a contract would cover.

What if the equipment can't be repaired?

We tell you plainly and quote for the specific replacement needed, rather than repeated repair attempts on something that genuinely needs replacing.

Do you provide a written report after servicing?

Yes — every scheduled service visit includes a written record of what was checked, found, and recommended.

Can you audit who currently has access on our system?

Yes — an access log and credential audit is part of what we check on a service visit, where the system supports it.

Access Control Issue? Let's Sort It.

Tell us about your school and the issue. We'll help figure out the right next step — repair, upgrade or a maintenance arrangement.
