Qyvea Limited designs and installs structured cabling for offices, banks, schools, hospitals, warehouses and data centres across Kenya. A cabling installation is only as good as the design behind it — so the work starts with an outlet schedule, a containment plan and a fibre or copper backbone that will still be serviceable in five years, not just on day one.
Cat5e, Cat6 or Cat6A from the floor distributor to each desk outlet, terminated on RJ45 modules or keystone jacks.
Single-mode or multi-mode fibre between buildings, floors and server rooms. Terminated on LC or SC patch panels and tested.
Cable trays, trunking, conduit and floor boxes so cables are protected, labelled and accessible.
Wall-mount or floor-standing cabinets, patch panels, cable management and PDU installation.
Every outlet, patch panel port and cable end is labelled to a standard scheme and documented.
Every link tested for length, attenuation, NEXT and return loss. You receive the certification report.
Qyvea recommends a category based on how the site will actually be used — not just what is cheapest. Detail on the wider networking stack is on our Networking page.
Structured cabling is installed to recognised industry standards so it remains serviceable, testable and warranty-supported:
We walk the site, count outlets, plot cable routes and check existing containment.
Outlet schedule, cable category, containment, cabinets and test plan are itemised.
Cables pulled, terminated, labelled and dressed. Work is scheduled around business hours.
Every link tested. You receive the certification report and as-built layout.
Structured cabling is the underlying cable system inside a building that carries data, voice and video. It is organised into a standard layout — a main distribution area, floor distributors, and horizontal cabling to each outlet — so that any outlet can be patched to any service.
Cat6 or Cat6A copper is the usual choice for desk outlets and horizontal cabling up to 90 metres. Fibre is used for backbone links between floors, buildings, server rooms and switches, and anywhere distances exceed copper limits or electrical isolation matters.
A single-floor office fit-out typically takes 3 to 7 working days. Multi-floor buildings, data centres and sites with containment, tray or conduit work take longer. Qyvea provides a schedule during the site survey.
Yes. Every link is tested and documented. You receive a certification report with pass/fail results, length, attenuation and NEXT values per outlet — useful for warranty and future fault-finding.
Cost depends on the number of outlets, cable category, containment work, distance between floors, and whether the site is new-build or occupied. Qyvea provides a free site survey and itemised quote before any work begins.
Yes. Qyvea is a Nairobi-based, delivery-only supplier, and installs across Kenya including Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Thika, Ruiru and Kiambu.
A network cabinet redone from scratch: cables re-terminated, routed and dressed so every link is tidy, labelled and easy to trace.
Free site walk-through and itemised quote. We can usually schedule within the same week.
