Qyvea Limited installs business-grade Wi-Fi across Kenya. A single home router is not a business network — it cannot handle the number of devices, it cannot roam users between coverage zones, and it has no way to separate staff from guests. A proper business Wi-Fi installation starts with a site survey, sizes the access points against the number of concurrent devices, and connects everything to a controller that can be managed remotely.
Walk-through with a wireless survey tool. We map coverage, interference and where APs need to go.
Ceiling or wall mount, cabled back to the switch, powered by PoE or a local injector.
SSIDs, VLANs, roaming, bandwidth rules and firmware — all configured centrally.
Separate SSIDs and VLANs. Guests reach the internet only; staff reach internal systems.
Branded login page or voucher codes for hotels, cafés, clinics and public spaces.
Cameras, printers and smart devices on their own isolated SSID with restricted access.
If the site does not already have cabling, we can install it as part of the same project — see Structured Cabling.
We walk the site with a survey tool, check walls and obstacles, and count concurrent devices.
AP count, positions, controller, cabling and SSID plan are itemised.
APs mounted and cabled, controller configured, SSIDs and VLANs loaded.
Coverage tested, credentials handed over, admin trained on the controller.
The number depends on floor area, wall materials, ceiling height and how many devices connect at once. A rough starting point is one access point per 50–80 m² of open office, but a site survey is the only way to get it right. Qyvea maps the site and gives an AP count in the quote.
Home routers handle a handful of devices and one small area. Business Wi-Fi uses multiple access points managed by a controller, with separate networks for staff, guests and IoT, bandwidth controls, and roaming so users stay connected as they move.
Yes. Business Wi-Fi is normally deployed with at least three networks — staff, guest and IoT or devices. Guests get internet access only, staff get access to internal systems, and IoT devices sit on their own isolated network.
Warehouses need access points chosen for high ceilings, metal racking and long aisles. Directional antennas are used where coverage needs to be steered. Cold storage needs APs rated for the temperature range and positioned outside the freezer where possible.
Cost depends on the number of access points, the type of controller, whether new cabling is needed, and whether guest Wi-Fi with a captive portal is required. Qyvea provides a free site survey and itemised quote.
Yes. Qyvea is a Nairobi-based, delivery-only supplier, and installs across Kenya including Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru, Eldoret, Thika, Ruiru and Kiambu.
