Where to Place a Solar Light for the Best Charging
The same light can run all night in one spot and die by midnight in another. Placement is the biggest factor you control.
Open sun first
Look for a spot that is in direct sun from mid-morning to mid-afternoon. A wall shadow at 2pm can cost hours of charge.
Direction and tilt
Near the equator the sun is high. A flat or slightly tilted panel works well. Tilt slightly so rain runs off.

Frequently asked questions
Does the direction of the panel matter in Kenya?
Less than in higher latitudes, since the sun is high. Avoid shade first.
Can I move it later?
Yes. An all-in-one unit can be unbolted.
