Solar Light Remote Control: What It Does and How to Use It

By Qyvea Limited · Updated 20 October 2026 · 2 min read

Our 1000W and 2000W solar street lights come with a remote control and batteries. Here is what a remote is for and how to get the most from it.

Why a remote helps

A solar light is mounted high on a pole or wall. A remote lets you set it up and switch it from the ground, without climbing a ladder each time.

Using the remote

Point the remote at the light, within a few metres, and press the button for the function you want. Different models have different buttons, so check the one in your box or ask us for a quick guide. Keep fresh batteries in the remote.

Tips

The 3000W

The 3000W has its ON/OFF control on the unit next to the sensor, so you can switch it at the light. Ask us if you want a remote for your model.

In short: The remote is for setup and control from the ground. The light still works without it.
