Flood light price in Kenya
A flood light throws a wide beam over a compound, gate, parking or warehouse yard, making it harder for intruders to hide and helping CCTV record clear colour footage at night. In our store flood lights currently cost KES 830 to KES 4,020.
LED flood light prices (mains power)
Mains LED flood lights are the brightest light for the money and run every night without depending on the weather. They need a cable run and a switch, photocell or timer. During KPLC outages they go off unless they are on an inverter or generator.

Solar flood light prices
Solar flood lights need no wiring and keep working during blackouts, which makes them popular for gates, walls and places far from the power supply. Like solar street lights, the advertised watts are often optimistic, so compare panel size, battery and lumens. More in our solar flood light guide.

Which flood light should I choose?
- Warehouses, factories, car parks: mains LED flood lights (100–200W real power) on an inverter or generator circuit.
- Home compounds and gates: 30–50W mains LED with a motion sensor or photocell, or a solar flood light where cabling is hard.
- Perimeter walls and estates: solar flood or solar street lights, so the perimeter stays lit during outages.
Point lights down and away from neighbours and away from your CCTV cameras' lenses, so they light the area without blinding the camera. Choose IP65 or better for outdoor use.
Frequently asked questions
How much is a flood light in Kenya?
Flood lights in the Qyvea store cost KES 830 to KES 4,020 today: mains LED flood lights from the lower end of that range, solar flood lights with built-in batteries higher.
Is a solar or electric flood light better?
Mains LED flood lights are brighter for the price and run every night. Solar flood lights need no wiring and work during blackouts. Many compounds use mains LED for the main yard and solar for gates and walls.
How many watts flood light do I need for my compound?
For a typical home compound, 30–50 real watts of LED per light is enough. Parking yards and warehouses usually need 100–200W per light. Compare lumens rather than the watts printed on solar lights.
Do flood lights help CCTV at night?
Yes. Good lighting lets cameras record in colour and capture faces and number plates. Place lights so they do not shine straight into the camera lens.
