How big a power station do you need?
- Wi-Fi router and phones (about 15–30W): a 300–500Wh unit runs them through a long blackout.
- Laptop, TV and lights (about 150–250W): 500–1,000Wh.
- Fridge, small office or CCTV system: 1,000–2,000Wh or more, with 1,200W+ output.
Runtime is roughly capacity (Wh) ÷ load (W) × 0.85.
Charge it from the sun
A foldable solar panel recharges the power station off-grid, which is useful upcountry, in vehicles and on site.

Power station or a fixed backup system?
For a whole house or office, a fixed inverter with lithium batteries is usually better value. A power station is best when you want something portable with nothing to install.
