Access Control Door Not Opening?
A door that won't release on a valid card or fingerprint is usually a power, wiring or enrollment issue -- not a sign the whole system needs replacing.

An access-controlled door has several parts working together -- the reader, the controller, the electric lock, and the wiring between them. A fault in any one of these can look identical from the outside, so diagnosing which part failed matters before ordering a replacement.
The most common causes we find when diagnosing this fault.
Controller or power supply not receiving power.
Lock mechanism itself has failed, even if the signal is correct.
Worn card, dirty sensor, or fingerprint needing re-enrollment.
Damaged or loose wiring between reader, controller and lock.
Credential added incorrectly or expired in the system.
Software/firmware glitch resolved by a power cycle.
Describe the issue — photos or video help.
Remote diagnosis where possible, a site visit where it isn't.
Repair, reconfigure, upgrade or replace — based on findings.
Approved work carried out, then tested.
If the reader beeps/lights up correctly for a valid credential but the door still doesn't release, the fault is usually in the lock or wiring, not the reader itself.
No -- a single bad credential only affects that user. If the whole door has stopped responding to everyone, the fault is in the controller, lock or power supply.
Most systems can be fitted with a manual key override or request-to-exit button as a backup -- worth having if this door is business-critical.
Yes -- we assess the existing system first to confirm what can be repaired.
A fully touch-free door: staff enter with Hikvision face recognition and leave by waving a hand over an infrared no-touch exit button.
Tell us what happens when you present a card or fingerprint and we'll diagnose it properly.
