Nairobi sites are very different from one another: a walled home in a quiet estate, an office block with a busy reception, a warehouse on a large plot with several gates. Qyvea Limited is based in Westlands and provides guards for all of them, starting with a visit to see how people and vehicles actually move through your site.
From that visit we write a proposal that says how many posts you need, which hours each post covers, what the guard at each post does and how the post is supervised. You then decide with the facts in front of you, instead of buying a headcount and hoping it is enough.
Most Nairobi sites need one or two of these, not all of them.
Controls who and what comes in, records visitors and vehicles, and is the first person anyone meets.
A presentable front-of-house guard for offices, clinics and showrooms who also handles access.
A guard who walks or drives a route and checks in at fixed points, for large sites or several small ones.
Cover for premises that are empty after hours: shops, yards, schools and offices.
Directs vehicles, checks who is entering the compound and watches parked cars.
Opening and closing checks, stockroom watch and a visible presence on the floor.
Every post we set up has written post orders — a plain document that says exactly what the guard does. It means a new guard can pick up the post on day one, and it gives you something concrete to check the guard against.
We look at the entrances, boundary, hours and what needs protecting.
Posts, hours, team and what each post does, in writing.
The guards are briefed on your site before they start.
Posts are checked, and we review the arrangement with you.
It depends on the number of posts, the hours each post covers, the headcount and any equipment such as radios. A round-the-clock post is covered by more than one person across shifts, so it costs more than one guard's day. We quote after visiting your site rather than publishing a price list.
Yes. Night-only posts are common for offices, shops, yards and schools that are empty after hours. We can also combine a night post with a day reception guard.
A static guard stays at one post, such as a gate. A mobile patrol follows a route and checks in at set points, which suits large sites or several small premises.
Yes, and it works better that way. If you do not have cameras or alarms we can install them, so the guard has more to work with than their eyes. See our CCTV page.
It depends on the size of the request and the number of guards involved. We confirm a start date in the proposal rather than promise a number of days up front.
Tell us where the site is and what you need to protect. We will visit and send a written proposal.
