POS system price in Kenya
A point-of-sale (POS) system rings up sales, prints receipts, tracks stock and shows you what sold today, whether you run a mini-mart, supermarket, restaurant, pharmacy or hardware shop. In our store POS hardware currently costs KES 2,520 to KES 48,000, and complete setups are quoted per business.
POS terminals
The terminal is the screen the cashier uses. All-in-one touch terminals run Windows or Android POS software; Android handhelds with a built-in printer suit restaurants, deliveries and market stalls.

Receipt printers
80 mm thermal printers are the standard for shops and supermarkets; 58 mm printers are smaller and cheaper for low-volume tills. Choose USB, LAN or Bluetooth to match your terminal, and a cash-drawer port so the drawer opens on each sale.

Barcode scanners
1D scanners read normal product barcodes; 2D scanners also read QR codes, including M-Pesa and eTIMS receipt QR codes on phone screens. Wireless scanners help with stock-taking away from the till.

Cash drawers
Most drawers open automatically through the receipt printer when a sale is completed. Pick the number of note and coin compartments you need and a lockable drawer for shared tills.

What a complete POS setup costs
A single-till shop needs a terminal or tablet, a receipt printer, a barcode scanner and a cash drawer, plus POS software. Restaurants usually add a kitchen printer; butcheries and supermarkets add a label-printing scale. Tell us your business type and number of tills and we will quote a complete POS package including setup, product upload and staff training.

Frequently asked questions
How much is a POS system in Kenya?
POS hardware in the Qyvea store costs KES 2,520 to KES 48,000 today. A complete single-till setup (terminal, receipt printer, scanner and cash drawer) is quoted per business after we know your software and number of tills.
Can a POS print KRA eTIMS receipts?
The POS software produces eTIMS-compliant invoices; the hardware only prints them. Choose a POS software provider that is integrated with KRA eTIMS, and a receipt printer it supports.
Do I need a 1D or 2D barcode scanner?
A 1D scanner reads ordinary product barcodes. Choose a 2D scanner if you also want to read QR codes, such as payment or receipt QR codes on phones.
Does Qyvea install and set up POS systems?
Yes. We supply the hardware, connect it to your POS software, upload your products and train your staff, and deliver countrywide.
