Gate Remote Not Working — What to Check
If the gate works from the button but not from the remote, the problem is the remote or the receiver, not the motor. These quick checks sort out most cases.
Checks
- Remote battery — if the LED is dim or off, replace the battery.
- Range — try right next to the gate. If it works close but not far, the receiver antenna or remote battery is weak.
- Other remotes — if no remote works, the receiver or motor controller is the problem; if only one fails, it is that remote.
- Memory — after a board replacement or reset, remotes may need to be learned again.
Replacement remotes
We supply and code remotes to your motor, and can delete lost remotes for security. A GSM opener removes the need for remotes altogether.
