How it is calculated
Total watts = sum of devices at their typical draw (fixed camera 8 W, PTZ 25 W, access point 15 W, phone 7 W). Add 20% headroom. Check each device's datasheet for its real maximum, and the switch's total PoE budget, not just the per-port standard.
Results are estimates for planning. Real systems depend on site conditions; Qyvea surveys and quotes before installation.
Tips from our installers
- Cables over 100 m need an extender or a second switch.
