Quick answer The K40 and K40 Pro belong to the same ZKTeco attendance-terminal family and use the same software logic. Check each of these on the exact listing: - Fingerprint and record capacity. - Screen size and keypad. - Communication options and whether cloud push is supported. - Battery or backup options. - Firmware version and warranty terms. ## How to decide 1. Count your staff today and in two years. 2. Decide whether you need cloud or multi-site features. 3. Ask the seller for the spec sheet of the exact model. 4. Compare price against warranty and after-sales support. A reseller that installs and supports the terminal is worth more than a few shillings saved. ## Setup is the same Both follow the same flow: [configure with ZKBio Time.Net](https://qyvea.co.ke/how-to-configure-zkteco-k40-pro-zkbio-time-net). ## Prices See [K40 price in Kenya](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkteco-k40-price-in-kenya) for current guidance, or ask us for a quote. ## A typical scenario A buyer chose a cheaper K40 listing and later found its capacity was smaller than they needed. Asking for the spec sheet first would have avoided the swap. Compare the exact listing, not the name. *Illustrative example based on common cases, not a named customer.* ## Common mistakes - Assuming all variants are identical. - Buying on price alone. - Ignoring warranty. - Not checking capacity. - Not asking about cloud support. ## Quick checklist 1. Count staff 2. Get the spec sheet 3. Compare capacity 4. Check warranty 5. Check support 6. Decide ## Frequently asked questions Is the K40 Pro better than the K40? Not automatically. Check the spec sheet for your variant. Can I mix K40 and K40 Pro on one software? Yes, they are the same family and connect to the same software. Do they use the same fingerprints? Templates are usually transferable within the family; test first. Which should a 30-person office buy? Either, if the capacity covers you comfortably. Ask us.
