A knock at the gate should be a question, not a decision. Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - Wi-Fi: rings your phone, needs good Wi-Fi at the gate. - Radio: unit-to-unit, range limited by walls. - GSM: works anywhere with signal, uses a SIM. Quick answer A wireless intercom sends audio or video between the door or gate and the inside without a dedicated intercom cable. Wi-Fi models join your router and ring your phone; radio models talk directly between units; GSM models call your mobile over the cellular network. The door unit still needs power, and walls and distance limit range.
