Quick answer A time attendance system for tour and travel companies is a fingerprint terminal at the staff entrance, ZKBio Time.Net on a PC, and timetables that match how your people really work. Staff scan in and out, and the software calculates late, early and overtime hours for payroll. **Get a ZKTeco attendance terminal for your business**: Supplied and installed across Kenya. A fingerprint terminal records when each person actually arrives and leaves, and the software turns that into a report payroll can use. ## How attendance works at tour and travel companies Tour firms have an office team on regular hours and guides and drivers on trip schedules. ## Where to put the terminal Terminals at the office and at the vehicle yard. Count how many people arrive at the same time. If a queue forms at shift change, add a second terminal instead of asking staff to wait. See [where to install a ZKTeco K40 Pro](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkteco-k40-pro-where-to-install) and [how many employees one terminal can handle](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkteco-k40-pro-how-many-employees). ## Setting it up in ZKBio Time.Net This is the order we follow when we set up a system for tour and travel companies. Each step has its own guide with screenshots. 1. Install the software, then [add the terminal over TCP/IP](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkbio-time-net-add-device-tcp-ip). 2. Create departments or areas that match how you are organised ([departments and areas](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkbio-time-net-departments-and-areas)). 3. Add staff one by one or [import them from Excel](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkbio-time-net-import-employees-excel), then [enrol their fingerprints](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkteco-k40-pro-enroll-fingerprint). 4. Use leave entries for multi-day trips. 5. Press Calculate and check the first day's report before you trust the numbers ([Calculate attendance](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkbio-time-net-calculate-attendance)). ## Reports you will actually use Use monthly summaries to separate trip days from office days. They all come from the standard reports: [daily report](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkbio-time-net-daily-attendance-report), [late and early report](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkbio-time-net-late-early-report), and [export to Excel](https://qyvea.co.ke/zkbio-time-net-export-report-to-excel) for payroll. ## Supply and installation by Qyvea Qyvea Limited supplies ZKTeco attendance terminals, installs them, configures the software, enrols your staff and trains whoever runs payroll. Count staff and entrances before you buy. 2. Write the working hours down as timetables. 3. Enrol everyone, including casual and part-time staff. 4. Run a one-week trial and compare it with your old register. 5. Name one person who owns the reports. ## Frequently asked questions How do trips show? Enter them as a leave or trip type so they are not absence. Can we include seasonal guides? Yes.
