Imagine something goes wrong at your gate tonight. Could you show exactly who, when and how? Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - No power cable or Wi-Fi needed. - Uses a Safaricom/Airtel SIM with a data bundle. - Records to a microSD card, sometimes cloud. Quick answer A 4G solar CCTV camera has its own solar panel, a battery and a SIM card slot. The panel charges the battery by day, the battery runs the camera at night, and the SIM card connects it to the internet so you can watch on your phone. Footage is usually saved to a memory card in the camera. They suit farms, plots, construction sites and gates far from power and Wi-Fi. [Photo: Alan J. Weak signal drains the battery and drops the feed. ## Where they fit, and where they don't #### Good for Farms and shambas Construction sites Plots and remote gates Temporary sites #### Not ideal for 24/7 continuous recording Many cameras at one building Shaded spots Areas with poor 4G For buildings with power, a wired system is more reliable. It depends on live viewing and settings; motion-only recording with short phone checks uses far less than continuous streaming. Does it work at night? Yes, from the battery, with infrared or a spotlight for night vision. Can someone steal the SIM or memory card? Mount the camera high, and use cloud backup where available. ## Why customers choose Qyvea **Genuine brands**: Manufacturer warranty on what we sell, so you are not gambling on the box. **One team, start to finish**: The people who advise you also install and support it. **Fast answers**: WhatsApp replies usually within 30 minutes, and delivery within 24 hours in Nairobi. **Easy to buy**: Pay by M-Pesa, bank transfer or card.
