A school needs three things: assembly sound outdoors, a hall system, and announcements to classrooms. Can everyone hear you, clearly, in every corner? Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - Outdoor PA for assembly, hall system for events. - 100V line for announcements to many rooms. - Weather-resistant speakers outdoors. Quick answer School sound usually means an outdoor PA for assembly, a hall system for events, and a 100V line system for announcements and bells across classrooms. Weather-resistant horn or column speakers work outdoors, ceiling speakers suit the hall and corridors, and a paging microphone at the office covers announcements. Plan the amplifier size for the total speaker load and leave room to add speakers. [Photo: Ufoma Ojo / Unsplash](https://unsplash.com/photos/uYLBBm4y_qA) Why this matters now ## The next event or emergency notice is the wrong time to find out the sound does not reach. ### If you wait - Shouting across a hall - A microphone that squeals and speakers that crackle - Emergency notices nobody hears ### What you get - Even coverage from ceiling or horn speakers - Music in some zones, announcements in all - Clear speech, tuned to the room [Premier Amplifier PM-13](/products/premier-amplifier-pm-13-74170 "Premier Amplifier PM-13")[Ceiling speaker 6 inch](/products/ceiling-speaker-6-inch-73836 "Ceiling speaker 6 inch")[Shure SM 57 MIC](/products/shure-sm-57-mic-74301 "Shure SM 57 MIC") [Get my free quote on WhatsApp](https://wa.me/254113301244?text=Hi%20Qyvea%2C%20I%20read%20your%20guide%3A%20How%20Do%20Schools%20Set%20Up%20a%20Sound%20System%3F.%20I%20want%20a%20PA%20system%20sorted.%20Can%20you%20help%3F)Reply usually within 30 minutes. For many classrooms on long cable runs it is the usual choice, because it carries sound efficiently to many speakers. See our 100V guide. Can the same system play the school bell? Many amplifiers have a chime or timer input. Ask when you buy. What about wireless microphones? Useful for assemblies and events; choose a system with enough channels and spare batteries. Where do we start? Map each area, count the speakers you need, then size the amplifier above the total. ## Why customers choose Qyvea **Genuine brands**: Manufacturer warranty on what we sell, so you are not gambling on the box. **One team, start to finish**: The people who advise you also install and support it. **Fast answers**: WhatsApp replies usually within 30 minutes, and delivery within 24 hours in Nairobi. **Easy to buy**: Pay by M-Pesa, bank transfer or card.
