Most people only find out what their cameras missed on the day they needed them. Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - Waterproof every joint. - Surge protection and earthing. - UPS for recorders. Quick answer Outdoor cameras fail mostly because of water in connectors and surges on power and data lines. Use weatherproof boxes for joints, add surge protection and good earthing on cameras, recorders, gate controllers and fence energizers, and put recorders on a UPS. Check connections before the rains.
