Why are you still getting out of the car in the dark to open your own gate? Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - ANPR triggers the gate motor like a remote. - No more remotes to lose or clone. - Visitors still use the intercom or guard. Quick answer An ANPR camera can open an automatic gate as well as a barrier. When it reads a registered plate, its relay output triggers the gate motor's controller, just like a remote. The gate opens without anyone pressing a button, and each entry is logged with a photo. In most cases yes, through the motor controller's trigger input, the same one a remote or keypad uses. What about visitors? Visitors use the intercom or guard as before, or you can add their plate for a set time. Does it work at night?
