Two speakers, a mixer, good microphones and a screen. Licensing matters more than many owners think. Bad sound makes good speakers sound unprepared. Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - Speakers sized for the room. - A mixer with echo for singers. - Reliable wireless microphones with spare batteries. Quick answer A karaoke setup needs speakers sized for the room, a mixer or amplifier that handles microphone and music inputs, one or two reliable wireless microphones, a screen for lyrics and a source such as a laptop or karaoke player. Because you are playing music to the public, check licences with Kenya's music rights societies before you start. No; many bars use a laptop with licensed karaoke software or a dedicated player. Make sure the tracks are licensed. How loud should it be? Loud enough to enjoy but not so loud it leads to complaints or feedback; place speakers sensibly. Wired or wireless microphones? Wireless gives freedom; wired is cheaper and reliable for a fixed spot. What about a licence? Public performance can need licences from MCSK and KAMP-PRISK; check before you start. ## Why customers choose Qyvea **Genuine brands**: Manufacturer warranty on what we sell, so you are not gambling on the box. **One team, start to finish**: The people who advise you also install and support it. **Fast answers**: WhatsApp replies usually within 30 minutes, and delivery within 24 hours in Nairobi. **Easy to buy**: Pay by M-Pesa, bank transfer or card.
