Even sound from the ceiling, or easy mounting on the wall: how to decide. Bad sound makes good speakers sound unprepared. Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - Ceiling speakers: even sound, tidy, need a ceiling void. - Wall or column speakers: no cutting, good for long rooms. - Rented premises often suit wall speakers. Quick answer Ceiling speakers give the most even background sound and disappear into the room, but need access above the ceiling and a cut-out. Wall or column speakers mount without cutting and aim sound along a room, which suits shops with solid ceilings, long narrow spaces and rented premises. Choose by the ceiling you have and how much work the landlord allows. They need space above the ceiling for the speaker body and cable, so gypsum or false ceilings are ideal. Solid concrete ceilings suit surface or wall speakers. Can I mix ceiling and wall speakers? Yes, on the same amplifier, as long as they are the same type (100V or low-impedance) and the level is balanced. Which is cheaper? Speaker prices vary by model; ceiling speakers can need more installation work, wall speakers more cable trunking. Compare the full installed cost. ## Why customers choose Qyvea **Genuine brands**: Manufacturer warranty on what we sell, so you are not gambling on the box. **One team, start to finish**: The people who advise you also install and support it. **Fast answers**: WhatsApp replies usually within 30 minutes, and delivery within 24 hours in Nairobi. **Easy to buy**: Pay by M-Pesa, bank transfer or card.
