Staff must be there. Are you paying for hours nobody worked? Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - Start times recorded - Bookings supported by real attendance - Commission and hours match Quick answer Clients book at a time. Staff must be there. A biometric attendance system (also called a fingerprint attendance machine or time attendance system) records who arrived, and when, with their own finger or face. For salons and spas, that means start times recorded, and bookings supported by real attendance. [Photo: George Prentzas / Unsplash](https://unsplash.com/photos/SRFG7iwktDk) Why this matters now ## Each pay period on paper records is another one you cannot check. ### If you wait - Colleagues clocking in for each other - Payroll built from paper and guesses - Disputes with no proof either way ### What you get - The person's own finger or face is the check - Reports ready for payroll - Fewer arguments at month end [ZKTeco K40 Fingerprint Time](/products/zkteco-k40-fingerprint-time-attendance-terminal-67 "ZKTeco K40 Fingerprint Time Attendance Terminal")[ZKTeco Mifare Cards](/products/zkteco-mifare-cards-11310 "ZKTeco Mifare Cards") [Get my free quote on WhatsApp](https://wa.me/254113301244?text=Hi%20Qyvea%2C%20I%20read%20your%20guide%3A%20Biometric%20Attendance%20System%20for%20Salons%20and%20Spas.%20I%20want%20biometric%20attendance%20sorted.%20Can%20you%20help%3F)Reply usually within 30 minutes. When a stylist is late, the day's bookings slip. A terminal at the staff door keeps everyone honest and fair. ## Step by step Staff arrive~at the terminalScan finger or face~one secondPunch recorded~name and timeReport ready~for payroll ## Where it goes **Tip**: Best spot: at the staff entrance. ## In stock now ## Get a free survey **When to call a professional**: We survey your site for free, quote in writing, then supply, install, configure and train your team. Yes. Is it too big for a small salon? A compact terminal fits a small space. Can it handle commission? Attendance shows hours. Commission is calculated in your payroll. Is biometric attendance legal in Kenya? Yes, with care. In Kenya the Data Protection Act, 2019 treats biometric data as sensitive personal data, so tell staff why you collect it, store it securely and use it for attendance only. This is general information, not legal advice. How many staff can one terminal hold? Models hold from hundreds to several thousand fingerprints or faces. We pick the size from your headcount on the survey. Can staff cheat it? A fingerprint or face belongs to one person, so nobody can clock in for a friend the way they can on paper. Can it feed payroll? Yes. Reports export hours, lateness and overtime for your payroll team. ## Why customers choose Qyvea **Genuine brands**: Manufacturer warranty on what we sell, so you are not gambling on the box. **One team, start to finish**: The people who advise you also install and support it. **Fast answers**: WhatsApp replies usually within 30 minutes, and delivery within 24 hours in Nairobi. **Easy to buy**: Pay by M-Pesa, bank transfer or card.
