Month end should not be an argument. Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - Every department on one record - Shift swaps visible - Overtime calculated from real hours Quick answer Guests notice when the front desk is understaffed. A biometric attendance system (also called a fingerprint attendance machine or time attendance system) records who arrived, and when, with their own finger or face. For hotels and lodges, that means every department on one record, and shift swaps visible. Yes. Split and rotating shifts are set up per department. Can it cover seasonal staff? Yes. Enrol them for the season and remove them afterwards. Does it work at several properties? Yes. All terminals report to one system. How many staff can one terminal hold? Models hold from hundreds to several thousand fingerprints or faces. We pick the size from your headcount on the survey. Can staff cheat it? A fingerprint or face belongs to one person, so nobody can clock in for a friend the way they can on paper. Can it feed payroll? Yes. Reports export hours, lateness and overtime for your payroll team. Is biometric attendance legal in Kenya? Yes, with care. In Kenya the Data Protection Act, 2019 treats biometric data as sensitive personal data, so tell staff why you collect it, store it securely and use it for attendance only. This is general information, not legal advice. ## Why customers choose Qyvea **Genuine brands**: Manufacturer warranty on what we sell, so you are not gambling on the box. **One team, start to finish**: The people who advise you also install and support it. **Fast answers**: WhatsApp replies usually within 30 minutes, and delivery within 24 hours in Nairobi. **Easy to buy**: Pay by M-Pesa, bank transfer or card.
