Cover the till, the door and the waiting area, and keep cameras away from treatment and changing spaces. A camera that records nothing useful is the most expensive thing on your wall. Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - Till, door and waiting area. - Keep cameras out of private treatment spaces. - Display a sign. Quick answer A salon needs a camera on the till and counter, one on the entrance and one over the waiting area. Never place cameras where clients change or are treated in private; point them at the door and the till instead. Salons lose cash at the till, products from the shelves, and phones and bags in the waiting area, so those are the views worth recording. [Photo: Alan J. A wide view of the main floor is common, but avoid close shots of clients and never record private treatment or changing areas. How many cameras does a small salon need? Often three to four: till, door, waiting area and the product shelf. Do salons need a music system too? Most do; see our guide to salon music systems. Do I need to tell clients? Yes. A visible sign at the entrance is the minimum; footage of people is personal data in Kenya. ## Why customers choose Qyvea **Genuine brands**: Manufacturer warranty on what we sell, so you are not gambling on the box. **One team, start to finish**: The people who advise you also install and support it. **Fast answers**: WhatsApp replies usually within 30 minutes, and delivery within 24 hours in Nairobi. **Easy to buy**: Pay by M-Pesa, bank transfer or card.
