Do you open the door before you know who is there? Read on: it takes a few minutes and could save you a lot more than that. **In this guide you will see:** - One entrance panel, one indoor station per flat. - Door release opens the lock or gate from each flat. - IP systems ring residents' phones too. Quick answer An apartment intercom has a door station at the entrance that calls each flat, an indoor station in every unit, and a door or gate release. Modern IP systems also let residents answer and open from their phones, add the caretaker's desk, and keep a log of calls.
